Moon Cake Festival / 中秋节 (2009)

Moon Cake Festival also mean Mid Autumn Festival, where its celebrated by the Chinese. It only celebrated on the date of the lunar calender August the fifthteen. In Kuching, there will always be a Moon Cake Festival celebrated one week before the actual date at Carpenter Street. The whole street will be close down to sell foos and conduction of activities related to the Moon Cake Festival. It start 5.30pm untill 11pm, some of the stall will start to get prepare about 4.30pm. Every year, there are adding some more things into the festival to attarct more peoples to come. Example: Street Dance, Dance performance, Singing and so on...

This year, the Moon Cake Festival on Carpenter Street has being host from 29.9.2009 till 3.10.2009. On 3.10.2009 that is the actual date of the Moon Cake Festival. Food is the main purpose of peoples visiting there, as there are selections along the street, especially night time, peoples looks for super...



There are peoples along the street, some are couple, some come with family and some come with friends...

This is the entrance of Carpenter Street ( Carpenter Street are the oldest street in Kuching, and full with Handcaft and culture location)


The street has being light up with lights and lanterns


This are the scout on duty (Every year, Kuching District Scout Council will send some scouts over to the Kuching Moon Cake Festival  for services, helping in the trafiic and so in)
